The Caretti farm is located in 1928thanks to Enea Caretti's passion, love and resourcefulness for the land and breeding.
Humble and modest farmer / breeder after the difficulties of the Second World War he resumes this passion with more vigor, also managing to have a very small dairyfor milk processing. His family grew, so in the 60s and 70s his sons Dante and Oriano joined the company, also endowed with strong passion and intuition, developing the various branches that constituted it (agriculture - breeding - transformation - sale).
Thanks to them sensitivity to the environment and animalsthey perceive the importance that (also at an economic level) the animal's well-being and the balance of the environment in which it lives have. Therefore, the first investments in this sense are not delayed: among the first in Emilia to adopt free livestock housing, company mill, dryer first, then dehydrator for forage.

In addition to cattle breeding, is present as a logical consequence of the cheese-making activity, thepig breedingfor fattening through which the by-product (very noble) of the milk processing is used: the serum.
Large sizes to cover structures such as that of the Parmigiano Reggiano maturing warehouse, set up with photovoltaic panels.
Reclaimed wood for the recovery structure of the bovine comeback.
There is oneclose collaboration with the veterinary facultyof the University of Bologna. So the cattle are controlled by conscientious veterinarians who have been following us for years. The breeding is conducted according to all the health standards and animal welfare principles in force, testified by numerous ASL controlsto which it is subjected periodically. Cattle feed is obtained from the cultivation of the farm land, which allows us to obtain very high quality standards on the finished product as we have direct control over the entire supply chain. The agricultural area, totally dedicated to the cultivation of fodder and cereals (in proportion) is, from the landscape-environmental point of view very in balance with nature.

According to the result of a research conducted by the University of Parma, our area is the one most densely frequented by migratory birds such as swallows and swifts, in fact, they nest and feed in peace as the cultivation of fodder does not requires the use of pesticides or pesticides.
Most of the milk we process is from our production, a small part is supplied by families of farmers in the area.
We are currently certified ISO 9001(quality management system) ISO 14001(environmental management) ed EMAS.
